Motorola has officially unveiled the
Moto G globally, the much awaited budget device is announced at a price
of $179 which is approximately 11000 INR.
Moto G goes on sale this week in Brazil
and parts of Europe and will be available within the next few weeks
throughout Latin America, Europe, Canada and parts of Asia. It will be
available in the US, India, the Middle East and more of Asia in early
January. Moto G will be in more than 30 countries with 60 partners by
2014 is what the company aims. Having said that, this marks the re-entry
of Motorola smartphones in India.
The Moto G features a 4.5 inch HD
display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels along with Corning
Gorilla Glass 3 screen and 329 ppi. The device is powered by a 1.2
Ghz quad-core processor, a Snapdragon 400 chipset and Adreno 305 GPU.
Moto G is equipped with 1 GB of RAM and have inbuilt storage options of
8/16 GB.
Moto G sports a 5 MP primary camera
along with an LED flash which does HD video recording(720p), the device
also sports a 1.3 MP front-facing camera. Moto G is packed with a 2070
mAh battery to which the company claims will last the full day. The
device will run on Android 4.3 out of the box, but as its a Google owner
company it will undoubtedly get the KitKat taste soon.
Moto G will come with different back
cover options, Shells and Flip Shells are the two different optional
back covers and will be available in a variety of color options which
can help users to change the look of the phone.
The device will be available in two
variants as said above, 8/16 GB which is priced at $179 and $199
respectively. There will be no expandable storage but the company is
also offering 65 GB of free online Google Drive storage with the Moto G.
